Get To Know More About Jay Bramburger

Jay Bramburger found his escape in poetry. Born in Toronto and raised in Ottawa, Jay’s life has been shaped by pain, persistence, and purpose. After surviving a traumatic accident at the age of nine, he turned silence into the strength that carried him through decades of emotional storms. Thirty-three years in the Royal Canadian Navy, including 21 years at sea, exposed him to the world. He got a chance to witness unseen battles people carry. Those experiences left a mark on his memory and eventually became the ink in his pen.

Now retired and living lakeside with his loyal boxer Rufus, Jay spends his days reflecting, writing, and enjoying the calm he once longed for. You’re Not Alone, his poetry collection is born from a life that has everything from loss and survival to trauma and healing. Jay writes not for applause but for connection. His poems are not polished with literary gloss. They are raw, real, relatable, and written for anyone who has ever sat in silence with their sorrow. It might be his story, but it could just as easily be yours. That is exactly why he is sharing it.

This poet is a survivor who has something to say:

“Even in your silence, you are not alone.”

The Book That Feels Like A Friend

During the moments when you feel lost, broken, or invisible, You’re Not Alone could be the companion you need. Each verse will remind you that you are not strange for feeling deeply. You are just human!

“Healing does not shout. It begins in a whisper. I did not write this book to teach or preach. I wrote it because I needed it. Grief is love with nowhere to go, so I gave it words. If you ever feel like no one understands what is going on inside you, these poems might help you breathe a little easier. Also, this book is for you, and you should get it if you have ever cried alone in the dark.”
